From now on, the Absolute Swing flush hinged door, in the push version, and the xREVERx reversible door are certified for sound insulation!
These doors represent the pinnacle of innovation and quality in the field of interior solutions. Subjected to rigorous testing, they became the first Ermetika doors to be recognised with EN ISO 10140-1:2021, EN ISO 10140-2:2021 and EN ISO 717-1:2020 certifications, helping to improve the quality of life for end users.
How is the sound insulation of a door defined?
The strict criteria for certifying the sound insulation of an interior door mainly concern the sound reduction index (Rw): the higher the Rw value, the better the sound insulation offered by the door.
In the case of the Absolute Swing door, this value is equal to 28 decibels by adding the lower acoustic threshold, an optionally available accessory, which prevents sound passing through the space under the door, often considered the weakest point in sound insulation. Whereas for the xREVERx reversible door, the sound reduction index is 25 decibels.
